Next-Gen Hackathon 2023

Join us in Palo Alto on May 20th and 21st for the NextGen Hackathon! This event offers a unique opportunity to harness the cutting-edge power of Generative AI tools in the market to build practical projects for personal or professional purposes. Utilize Generative AI tools to optimize the rapid prototyping process or to develop groundbreaking solutions that enhance business productivity and enable data-driven decision-making. Once participants register and RSVP, we will share the event location details and all the information you will need to participate!

Hackathon participants will receive a Replit repository as their development platform for implementing their solutions, as well as resources from our sponsors outlined below. Replit is an optional tool that you may use for creating your solutions, and participants are encouraged to also leverage additional tools and resources from OpenAI and Generative AI that align with their project goals. A comprehensive list of the NextGen Hackathon tools and resources can be found below in the resources section and will be made available for use on the hackathon platform.

Leverage the capabilities of OpenAI and Generative AI tools to create a project that empowers users to generate solutions rapidly and efficiently for prototyping with no coding or low coding skills required. Your solution should aim to minimize the time developers spend on coding, designing, and producing content, allowing them to easily craft their own prototypes and projects with streamlined efficiency. Think about how AI can take no code / low code to the next level.

In addition to the Replit environment that will be provided, you have the opportunity to explore other Generative AI tools listed in the resources section below to enrich your project. The ultimate goal is to boost efficiency and productivity in rapid prototyping, so feel free to think creatively and outside the box when it comes to implementing Generative AI technology!

Customize and optimize LLMs (large language models)
Developer tools that help manage production and incorporate low levels of coding
Knowledge management solutions that increase the efficiency of early prototyping stages such as summarizing meeting notes, increasing project management efficiencies, etc.

Develop a business application or tool for workflow automation utilizing the power of OpenAI that enables users to enhance productivity, gain valuable insights, and make informed decisions to drive business growth. It's important to carefully consider how your tool can benefit businesses by saving time and resources across various departments, beyond just the development team. Think about how AI can take workflow automation to the next level.

In order to persuade businesses to integrate Generative AI into their daily operations, it's essential to present a compelling use case for your solution and explain the reasons for its adoption. In your 3-minute demo video, be sure to not only demonstrate how your solution works, but also emphasize its scalability and long-term benefits for the business.
